FMP
Control Features

This range of motor speed controls has been developed to supplement the well known DP/BP range. The FMP control has the added features of motor protection and reset capability, eliminating the need for a seperate starter.

To benefit from these features the fan motor must incorporate an independent thermal cut out device as commonly found on a wide range of motors used in the ventilation industry.  This cut out is then linked back to the control.

Should high temperature cause the cut out device to be triggered, the control output to the motor is inhibited and a neon indicator flashes on the control facia.  Power may only be reinstated by resetting the control manually subsequent to motor cooling disabling the thermal cut out.
